Then you are invited to go on board a traditional sampan (a flat bottomed traditional Vietnamese wooden boat) rowing to one of the most boisterous and colorful places in Mekong Delta – Cai Be Floating Market. There lies breathtaking landscapes along the river and scenes of the rustic life on Mekong Delta awaiting for you to discover as we row languidly. We will halt our boat intermittently to let you observe the Longan fruit drying process and how rice paste, rice cookies as well as coconut candies are made.

After touring the canals, we will bring to you a contemplation at an ancient house with fruit orchards surrounded and then a lunch awaiting you on board.

In the afternoon, we will cruise to Sa Dec Province, where you are picked up by a traditional sampan to visit Binh Thanh Island and its man-made canals. Here every villager is involved in the process of growing and producing water hyacinths into natural fibre for making floor mats and rattan baskets.

Then we will take you to Chau Doc Province on a tranquil evening cruise. At night, we will moor midstream near Chau Doc for your overnight rest.

On this day we treat you to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Chau Doc Border Crossing – Phnom Penh

We will lead you to take a sight at the lively local market near an ancient temple. Your journey is then continued with a trip to the quay where you will be feted to a boat excursion of a field trip learning exciting facts about the breeding of Basa fish in Mekong floating villages and rustic catfish farms.

Later, go for your lunch on the cruise and set off for the border of Phnom Penh – the capital city of Cambodia.

The remainder time is opportune to relax on board, sharpen your culinary skills with our hands-on cooking classes or tour the cruise with our impeccable Cruise Director. Or, better yet, do all three. “The Highway Blues” beckons as we float into a state of mild bliss caused by the hypnotic murmur of the ship’s engine.

Day 4: Phnom Penh

After breakfast, you will be captivated by a comprehensive lecture on Cambodia’s modern history. Then continue with a city tour around this dynamic historical capital city of Cambodia which has managed to preserve huge slices of its French colonial allure. On this tour you are welcomed to sightsee the dazzling white and gold edifice of the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda as well as admire the exceptionally stunning Khmer craft at the National Museum.

After treating you to lunch at a local restaurant, we will take you to the Genocide Museum and the Killing Field in town, where you may have to prepare yourself for being heart wrenched by this stark reminder of the genocide that transpired during Cambodian Khmer Rouge regime.

We then go back to our cruise after the museum visit for you to take a rest on your cabin balcony or the lounge and get ready for an exciting evening event.

We will rouse your evening starting with inviting you a variety of cocktails served on the sun deck followed with a fascinating Apsara Dance performance. You may want to take a seat, enjoy the dance with your favorite cocktail and feel the deluxe experience you are living.

Along with the soothing sounds of traditional music, we bring to you the experience of dining in the open on the sun deck with the stars and moon, the calming scent of incense sticks and barbeque as your companions, which is truly a marvelous experience.

You will rest overnight in Phnom Penh.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are our honor to serve.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham

We will depart before the break of dawn from Phnom Penh with a stop at the little known Chong Koh Silk Weaving Village.

We will then take you back to the ship and bring you to the charming view of the Mekong’s tranquil villages filled with exhilarating river life and sun-hardened fishermen on their shift boats.

You will continue with discovering the rural Angkor Ban Village, where time stands still and you will feel like being transported back a hundred years into an era unsullied by modernity. The houses here are truly rustic, made by hand without any concrete. But most of all, you will feel overwhelmed by the unbridled warmth of the villagers. You are invited to take part in the daily activities of them to experience the village life at your first hand.

At the end of the day, you will spend the night in Kampong Cham.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are in our care.

Day 6: Kampong Cham – Wat Hanchey

You will wake up in the small hours of the morning, energize yourself for a land journey to the pre-Angkorian Temple of Wat Hanchey, which is located at the top of a hill overlooking the river and offers one of the most breath-taking views in Cambodia.

You are free to decide to take a motor-taxi or the challenge of climbing 291 steps to the top. Built in the 8th century, this ancient structure, together with a bigger and newer addition, underscores the superb architecture of the Chenla Empire, which predates the mighty Angkor temple complex.

You may even get to engage in light banter with some of the monks in the area. Later, a blessing ceremony performed by orange-clad local monks is ready on board for you to enjoy when you return to the cruise. When the tide allows, we will bring you a surprise to row on the zodiacs (inflatable boats) to the nearby bank and swim in the tea-colored Mekong River, by which leave you such an experience that will dominate your dinner conversations in the weeks to come.

We will then cruise towards Kampong Cham to visit Wat Nokora wat built within the ruins of an ancient temple which holds a timeless story.

On your way back to the cruise, you will visit an orphanage. Along the way, you may pick up the challenge to maneuver a 2-kilometer rickety bamboo bridge where your sense of balance lies in the balance!

We will cruise overnight to Kampong Chhnang.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served.

Day 7: Kampong Cham – Kampong Chhnang

Before the sun peeks over the horizon, the cruiser will take you to Kampong Chhnang by sailing through the Tonle River – an amazingly narrow river – which glides through leafy swaths of a Southeast Asian jungle.  You will be warmly greeted by cacophonous children who waive enthusiastically at you when they bring their livestock for a bath on the meandering Tonle River in the early morning.

Then you will approach Kampong Chhnang – Cambodia’s “water world” where everything is on stilts balanced on soil-rich water – at which you will have an awesome sight whilst you are practicing Tai Chi on the deck.

Here we will invite you to a motorboat excursion to the landing followed by a short bus trip to see the Khmer-styled pottery at Aundaung Russey Village.

You will continue with the motorboat for another adventurous excursion to the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region. Afterwards, we return to our cruise where your lunch is ready. We will be cruising along the narrow and meandering Tonle River during your lunch time.

In the evening, you are our guest in a sumptuous spread and a big surprise following – a Cambodian dance class. Bring along your dance shoes and learn to jiggle in a Cambodian way with our staff doubling up as dance instructors. (If you cannot dance, do not fret! Neither can our staff).

Spend your night in Kampong Chhnang. All your breakfast, lunch and dinner are well prepared.

Day 8: Tonle Sap – Siem Reap

This great lake dominates Cambodia and is the largest freshwater lake in Asia with abundant birdlife. This lake is so wide that one cannot see its shores from the middle of the lake.

You may enjoy yourself in the stillness of the water and the quiet tranquility on the way to Siem Riep. The water level varies a great deal according to the time of the year and the amount of rainfall recorded. Thus, your itinerary would be diversified with respect to different seasons.

The cruise liner comes to an end as we reach this city of the fabled Angkor temple complex. We bid farewell to the cruise as our journey comes to a close. But the memories and the friendships made on board linger on for much longer.

We will cross the Tonle Lake at dawn and at 9:00 PM disembark at Siem Reap Port for onward coach transfer to the drop-off point in town. End our journey with unforgettable moments of deluxe experience.
