You may want to visit a farmer’s home, try your hand at fruit picking or explore the myriad of waterways on a typical small (but loud) boat as used by locals for their daily transportation.
This trip will provide you unique experience on your bicycle to off the beaten track of Mekong Delta.
Available Itinerary
Our car and guide will pick you up at hotel at 8:00AM and depart for Ben Tre.
Arrive in Ben Tre Town, take a bike or hop onto moto cart to Mr. Sau Khanh’s House, a passionate peasant has collected a lot of ancient ceramics, potteries like bowls, vases and sculptures originally from Asia. Listen to him talking about ceramics collecting, join trying to climb up coconut and enjoy fruits, coconut juice by the way.
11:30 Continue your insight into local lives and daily activities, drive through into village on paths by cart or bike. Have a look at making sleeping mat at local house. Stop at garden by canal, look people make sweep and rice wine. Get on your sampan with 10 minutes rowing on Tu Tran small waterway covered with palm tree along of its banks. Enjoy lunch at Hai Lai ‘s House.
13:00 Go on by boat to explore canals, call on workshops making coconut candy, try some sweets and stop at a riverside coconut processing family-run workshop, witness stages of processing coconut from husk out to peel out coconut flesh.
14:00 Continue boating on canal to the last stop- brick factory where the old fashioned kiln techniques are used with making and heating brick by traditional ways of a hundred years in Mekong delta.
Your car will pick you up and transfer you back to your hotel.
