The boat race held on September 2 attracted more than 200 rowers from the city and neighboring Quang Nam Province, and thousands of people gathering along the banks of the Han River to watch and cheer on the teams.
The Da Nang military staged a 15-minute fireworks performance at 9:00 pm the same day.
Other shows included a windsurfing event joined by professional athletes from well known local sea sport clubs and a concert with the participation of famed Vietnamese singers.
