Vietnam Visa Exemption According to Law no. 47/2014/QH13

According to Article 7 of the Law no 47/2014/QH13 of the Government dated June 16, 2014 on entry, exit, transit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam
“A visa may be used one or multiple times and its purpose must not be changed”. It means that if you enter Vietnam under Vietnam visa exemption list, then you want to travel or work in Vietnam, you must exit Vietnam and apply again for Vietnam visa with your right purpose.
1. This Law takes effect on January 01, 2015.
2. The Ordinance No. 24/1999/PL-UBTVQH10 on entry, exit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam is annulled as from the effective date of this Law.
Visa exemption for foreigners to Vietnam
According to visa exemption agreements that the Vietnamese Government has signed with some countries, nationals from the following countries can enter and stay in Vietnam without visa for a period of time.

However, it’s about 30 days after exiting Vietnam, you can enter Vietnam again if you still want to enter Vietnam under Vietnam visa exemption list.
