Convert
Vietnamese living in other countries and territories, foreign people who are wife, husband, daughter and son of a Vietnamese resident or a Vietnamese living overseas who can meet these following requirements are not required visa when travelling to Vietnam with max stay of 90 days:
- Have a passport or equivalent travel documents with validity of at least 6 months up to the entry date. Vietnamese living overseas without a valid passport need to submit a permanent resident permit issued by foreign authorities with the validity of at least 6 months up to the entry date.
- Certificate of visa exemption issued by Vietnamese authority.
If staying more than 90 days, a visa is required on entry to Vietnam.
Passengers who are not eligible for visa exemption need to apply for a visa to Vietnam.
1. Applying at embassy of Vietnam in foreign countries:
A visa to Vietnam can be applied for by mail or in person at the Embassy as early as 6 months prior to the date of travel.
2. Applying at arrival
Required documents:
- Valid passport or equivalent travel documents
- Approval letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department
- Applications form with one attached photo (size 4x6 cm)
Visa issuing fee, which is applied on the 23th November 2015.
